Germany (LUCID) has no B2C threshold; the UK uses DEFRA RPD CSV with plastic subtypes and RAG; France requires SYDEREP UIN + CITEO CSV; Spain generally kicks in above ~50,000 kg with ECOEMBES CSV. Extended Producer Responsibility for packaging means the seller (or other obligated producer) must register, report packaging quantities by material, and pay eco-modulated fees in markets where packaged goods are placed. For Shopify distance sellers, ship-to country usually decides which registry applies — not where your company is incorporated.

You map each variant’s packaging layers (material + grams, plus UK subtypes/RAG when needed). If I sell to all four markets, do I need four registrations?

Germany is often the surprise: no de minimis threshold for B2C packaged goods, so even low volume can require LUCID registration.
Does PPWR replace these national systems in August 2026?
PPWR tightens and harmonises EU packaging rules, but national registries (LUCID, SYDEREP, ECOEMBES) remain the practical filing surfaces. UK EPR is separate from EU PPWR.
